At the recently concluded 1% event I was part of "Team Ma3" a team dedicated to finding a solution to Road Carnage and the other problems which beset Public Transport in Kenya.
One of the solutions we thought up was a fusion of tech & social media to name & Shame errant drivers/conductors/policemen.
We decided that we would utilize Facebook to get the message across. Use the platform to share the images and stories that would serve to name & shame offenders. However, posting on Facebook is not anonymous.
Blogger allows for one to send in posts via e-mail. the idea is for a passenger to send an image and some text via MMS and have the image posted on Facebook.
Sending an MMS or e-mail to 6killa.shame@blogger.com will post a link to the image and/or text on this Facebook Page
So this is made up of 3 components, this blog and the Mail2Blogger Service, Twitterfeed and the Facebook page.
